Microsoft Windows Vista Beta 2 Preview Screenshots
May 28, 2006

I was reading Pcmag’s review of Vista Beta and a few I already didn’t like jumped out from this paragraph alone.
“One of the significant differences in Beta 2 is that the implementation of UAC (user account control) privilege elevation is much more intrusive—objectionably so, in our experience so far. UAC’s fundamental purpose is laudable: It aims to enable most users to spend most of their time running with limited-privilege accounts, constraining the ability of malicious software to inflict damage.”
Another fact noted is that the requirements needed to run many of the hardware you already have is pretty high so you might not even be able to hook up that wireless mouse/keyboard set or even your webcam. Looks like Vista isn’t the only thing you will have to buy.
I do like that it comes with many of it’s own security software that runs behind the scenes. Hopefully not eating up all your system resources.
