Auto-Friend

The amazing popularity of MySpace never ceases to amaze me. Part of it is that MySpace is brilliant. MySpace puts personal networking and instant messaging together with LiveJournal’s friend’s-diary features and a profile page. Soon MySpace will be a music site, too, since members will be able to sell their own music, downloaded right from MySpace pages

But part of my amazement at MySpace’s popularity is that I get so many semi-literate messages that my inbox resembles an AOL chatroom, circa 1996. A/S/L? I like U 4 Realz!!!1!  I know there are real live adults who use the messaging features to spread news about websites I’d like to see and bands I’d like to hear. Many successful web trends have started via MySpace messaging, and I really want to catch these trends as they start, but somehow they get lost in my inbox static.

With more and more MySpace members using this networking site to promote their bands, artwork or modeling careers, sub-businesses are developing. Badder Adder, for example, will automate your MySpace account. Badder Adder auto-accepts friend requests and turns your friends list into a mailing list to send news bulletins through MySpace messaging.

I only hope it also proofreads these messages before mass mailing.

badder adder is a pretty sweet program, it’s rated #2 over at botreviewer.com. If you’re looking for one of these programs, you may want to check out the site i mentioned, they review every adder under the sun.
