Google TV?

Google has recently given up its efforts to sell newspaper and radio advertising, Does this mean that they will give up on selling TV ads as well? That remains to be seen.

Google’s advertising venture allows advertisers to bid on ad space. Advertisers can choose to air spots on shows that fit with what they are selling. For example, Ford could air commercials for its pickup trucks during an episode of “American Chopper”. Companies pay only for those that remain tuned into their ads for five seconds or more.

Google’s system isn’t without its merits, but they face an uphill battle against other, well-established TV ad companies.
