The New Nabaztag/tag
May 5, 2008
The new Nabaztag/tag is the updated version of the cute electronic white rabbit that sits on your counter, desk or other accessible area. By linking your Nabaztag to your Wi-Fi network, your new electronic friend will be able to tell you the weather, read your email, and relay an instant message coming your way. If this isn’t enough, the handy white rabbit can be used as an alarm clock, report the daily news, voice RSS feeds and stream MP3s. Nabaztag can read blogs, websites, radio stations in 16 languages and can independently speak 5 languages (English, French, Italian, Spanish and German). It even has the ability to free you from your computer with email alerts connecting you with your favorite social networking website.
Similar to the iDog, the Nabaztag sings, puts on a light show and dances when music is played. Though far more technologically advanced than the iDog, the Nabaztag is marketed as a “personal companion”. It obeys orders and updates you when new information comes its way. With its own personality (think Furbee) your new assistant can send messages and song play lists to other Nabaztag users. You can also have your rabbit “married” or linked to another rabbits. For example, if your significant others’ Nabatag is married to your Nabatag you can send subtle messages to him/her throughout the day. By bending the ear of your rabbit, your loved one’s rabbit’s ear will bend as well, no matter how far away you are. So throughout the work day you can send your significant other small gestures of love without saying a word. Now, that is cute.
Another feature of the Nabaztag is the use of RFID tags. Place a tag on your key chain and when you enter your Wi-Fi network range (your home, office or other area) an email can be sent to someone telling them your whereabouts. This feature is great for working parents, kids coming home from school, or people in long distance relationships.
Racing Grannies
April 28, 2008
The track doesn’t look unusual, but the racers do. This racing set comes with two “high-octane” grannies who race around a 10-piece track in their wheel chairs. The grannies are 3 1/4″ high and the track is 15½” x 25½, when assembled. Four AA batteries are required, but not included.
You might be asking…what on earth? Coincidentally, this set can be purchased on the website What On Earth for $19.95.
Computerized Phantom Chess
April 14, 2008
Do you love to play strategy games such as Chess? I love to play Chess and was amazed when I found this cool toy.

I usually don’t have anyone to play with so I resort to Chess video games or network Chess games with tournament. However, playing with computer graphics is certainly different from seeing the 3D chess pieces.
In Computerized Phantom Chess, you get to play with “traditional” Chess pieces which is on a 2.5″X15″X13″ board. The pieces move by themselves using computer inputs from you and the “computer” opponent. Isn’t it nice to see the Chess pieces move by itself? It’s just like playing Chess in a video game except that you can touch it and see it move right in front of you.
You can just set the Computerized Phantom Chess to play against each other and you just watch and learn from its moves. The Computerized Phantom Chess is good for training and learning different moves as it gives warnings and helpful hints.
You get the advantages of playing Chess video games such as take-back option, hints, and warnings. The Computerized Phantom Chess will surely be exciting to play with both versus the computer and versus a live opponent. The “Phantom” movements give the game a unique twist which will surely be loved by people of all ages.
It’s probably a good idea to use the Computerized Phantom Chess to teach kids how to play Chess as the “Phantom” movements can entice them to learn how to play. Their attention will surely be caught. It’s just up to you to capitalize on it and teach them how to play it.

Offered by the Wine Enthusiast, this Illuminated Ambiance Chiller has an LED light in the bottom that brings a whole new level of fun to chilling your wine or champagne. For anyone that’s a fan of the rotating-color fiberoptic Christmas tree or pointsetta plant, this wine chiller will make your romantic evening complete.
Don’t let the two colors in the picture fool you, this wine chiller will rotate between the following colors:
- Yellow

If you’re a big fan of only one color, you can even choose not to have the colors rotate, so you can match your décor easily no matter where you take your wine chiller.
It’s made of plastic and aluminum and provides great, long-lasting insulation when you add in ice, water, or a combination of the two. The outside of the wine chiller is frosted and has a semi-transparent finish, so your LED effects look as cool as your wine will feel.
Don’t worry about having to plug in your wine chiller, either. It comes with a power supply and charger unit so after just four hours of charging, you can have sexy, fun LED colors flashing for up to eight hours without having to worry about recharging.

The future of gaming
April 4, 2008
In the future, game consoles will come in electrodes that will make their way into your body, and you become the actual gaming platform. You’re going to experience everything like you’ve entered an alternative reality with the Playstation 9.
Don’t believe it? Watch the video here.
Of course, this is still an idea. But if a man can get pregnant these days, whose to say this isn’t gonna happen?
Hand-warming Mouse
November 10, 2006
Japan’s Thanko now offers a hand-warming mouse:
This would make a great Xmas gift for anyone on your list who tends to get cold hands in the winter.
It’s even got an adjustable temperature knob, as “toasty” for some equals “burning hot” for others.
It has an 800dpi optical sensor, lights up when connected to a powered USB port, and costs about $25 USD.

Frustrated Cell Users Give Up On Gadgets
May 27, 2006
When a newer version of a cell phone comes out, you can bet that it will usually have more gadgets and advanced options than the previous models. Cell phones can now surf the net, play movies, videos and music, text, take pictures and even play games.
However to get to some of these features can be hard and with longer menus some non-tech fiends are getting a growing headache to go with their growing list of cellphone features.
This is bad for the wireless companies because there are not many people left who do not have cellphones so the only way for them to make billions more is to keep adding new and exciting features so that people will toss their old phones and grab a newer version. But if people can’t use them and grow frustrated that spells lower sales and the companies bottom line can’t allow that to happen.
Let’s see what the future brings to help solve this problem. Because I do agree that I am completely lost when it comes to all of these added features and I would need to read the manual just to operate the phone and who wants to do that?
