Take a look a the specification sheet:

So as you can see from the spread sheet the Samsung Jet packs a very powerful punch, the only drawbacks are the lack of an OS, Old UI (TOUCHWIZ 2.1), and a very finger print prone screen.

The only option for applications and games is the JAVA platform, which works very well. Also the phones has a standard Li-Ion 1100 mAh battery, it easily pulls off a impressive 7 hours of talk time, 6 hours of video playback and 20 days of standby time. As the is the first real 3D innovator in the touchscreen phones genre, it has the Media Gate 3D Cube and Motion UI, both of which are fullscreen 3D cubes that support multimedia functions.

Speaking of multimedia, the phones true calling is in playing movies, music, surfing the web (it has Flash Lite 10.1 support) and playing JAVA games, so if you want relatively cheap, very powerful multimedia device, the Samsung Jet is your dream phone.

Now the Huawei Ideos is being touted as the cheapest Android phone on God’s green earth, while this statement is true for the time being, one should not assume a cheap price tag will automatically equal a terrible smart phone experience.
First we should note the excellent build quality, Huawei have worked closely with Google to insure this is a phone the search engine can stand behind proudly. The Idoes is built from a strong combination of plastic and steel, and it is finger print resistant. Call quality ranges from good to average, and the loudspeaker is adequate enough without being extremely loud.
Battery life unfortunately is not one of Ideos’s strong points, it barely manages to pull off 5 hours on average use, most users will be charging it daily. The browser lacks Flash and Multi-touch, please keep in mind this phone costs no more then $100 contract free, as such the browser is very adequate indeed.
Here is a list of basic features that the Huawei Ideos comes with:
2.8 TFT capacitive touchscreen,
256K colors
240 x 320 pixels

GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
HSDPA 900 / 2100 / AWS
HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 / 1700
Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot
Bluetooth 2.1 (AD2P)
microUSB 2.0

Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate
Proximity sensor
Swype input method

3.15 MP, 2048×1536 pixels

Android OS, v2.2 (Froyo)

Processor:
528 MHz ARM 11 processor
Adreno 200 GPU
Qualcomm MSM7225 chipset

Memory:
200 MB storage
256 MB RAM
512 MB ROM

Messaging: MMS, Email, Push Mail, IM (all in threaded view)

Others features:
Stereo FM radio (RDS)
GPS/A-GPS
Digital compass
Google Search, Maps, Gmail, Talk
MP3/WMA/eAAC+ player
MP4/H.263/H.264 player
Organizer
Photo viewer/editorVoice memo/dial/commands
Predictive text input
So in short, the Huawei Ideos is a good, cheap, smart phone that does not compromise more then it has to. It makes the perfect smart phone for first timers or users on a budget.

Front and Back View

Here is a question; Which is the cheapest Android phone with the best features? The answer is the ZTE Blade, also known as the Orange San Francisco.
Most cheap smart phones have a miserable 320×240 resolution with a 3 inch display with and support for only 265 thousand colors.
The ZTE Blade has a Amoled screen and support for 265 thousand colors, your weren’t expecting that were you? It has a 600 MHz processor, 512MB RAM and 160 MB of memory plus optional 32 GB of storage.
All of the above costs one $100 dollars, this makes slightly more expensive then the Huawei Eidoes but the specs of this phone would easily make it worth $200 dollars.
Specifications:

2G: GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G: HSDPA 900 / 2100

Dimensions: 116 x 56.5 x 11.8 mm
Weight: 110g

Screen: AMOLED or LCD capacitive touchscreen, 256K colors, 480 x 800 pixels, 3.5 inches
Inside: Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, Proximity sensor for auto turn-off, Multi-touch input method

Operating System: 2.2 (Froyo) Android
Storage:160 MB storage, 512 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM
Processors:600 MHz ARM 11 processor, Adreno 200 GPU, Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset

Connectivity: USB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.1 AD2P, WI-FI, WI-FI Hotspot, 3.5 mm Headphone Jack, microSD card slot.

Features:
Digital compass
SNS integration
MP4/H.264/H.263 player
MP3/WAV/eAAC+ player
Google Search, Maps, Gmail
YouTube, Google Talk, Picasa integration
Organizer
Voice memo
Predictive text input
GPS-A GPS
HTML Browser
JAVA MIDP 2.0
Stereo FM radio with RDS

So the ZTE Blade is quiet a whopper at only $100 isn’t it? There are some problems that should be noted before purchase though. The reason it is so cheap is because it is being sold on contract by the telecommunications company Orange, this phone is exclusive to Orange. In an effort to of sett the cost they have crammed the ZTE blade with tons of useless and expensive applications, not to mention a custom browser and music player. Both of which look ugly.

You can easily get rid of all the “bloatware” from the ZTE Blade by switching to native the Android home screen or simply re-loading the OS, you can either go for the older 2.1 (Eclair) or the newer 2.2 (Froyo).
The ZTE Blade has very few problems, almost all problems are a result of Orange tinkering with the OS, a fresh install should have the phone up and running in no time at all.
This is the only Smart phone at a $100 in the market with a AMOLED screen and strong video playback, it is your best bet for a good smart phone experience that will not break the bank.

Operating System: 2.2 (Froyo) Android

Battery: Standard battery, Li-Po 4000 mAh with 28 hours (2G) and Up to 25 hours 30 min (3G).

The Galaxy tab is a cheaper and more capable alternative to the traditional iPad, as it has a SIM card slot, so it can be used easily as a wireless phone.
Games and Apps look very good on the screen, everything looks clear and crisp and with 7 hours of video playback you won’t be charging you Tablet often.
Unfortunately not everything is dainty on the Galaxy, there are some issues to keep in mind. First major problem are the viewing angles, trying to view the screen form any angle other then face to face is a nightmare. Secondly there is no FM radio or USB Host support. Thirdly images appear to ghost because the LCD display is has a rather slow response.
Speaking of images, all photos in the Gallery are downsized. Also for people who enjoy music via loudspeakers, the ones on the Galaxy Tab are rather low. Finally there are some Apps that are incompatible with the resolution, but games like Angry Bird and Tank play flawlessly.

In short the Galaxy tab is a very good and cheaper alternative to the iPad, or even iPad2 as they both lack Flash while the Galaxy Tab does have Flash. Also the Android market easily rivals the AppStore in terms of Apps and their quality.

The new Nokia N8 is the flagship snapper and fightback against its arch rival two OS (operating systems) Android and IOS 4.

 Its feature include:
2G network 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900.
3G network 850/ 900/ 1700/ 1900 / 2100.
AMOLED screen capacitive touchscreen.
Gorilla glass screen.
360/640 pixels 3.5 inch screen.
Symbian^3 OS and UI (operating system, user interface).
Accelerometer for UI rotation.
Wifi.
Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP support.
USB.
12MP auto focus camera Carl Zeiss optics.
Video recording 25 frames per second at 720 pixels.
FM radio with RDS.
Internet browser.
MP3 player.
MP4 video player.
DIVX/AVI video support.
TV OUT.
Document viewer.

The first thing to notice about the N8 is it is very sturdy indeed, it might not have the looks of other phones in its class but non of them are as strong and fall proof as this one.
Made of anodized aluminum casing and scratch proof Gorilla glass display for its camera lens this phone is as strong as they come outside of the Armed forces.
Phone book comes with unlimited entries and the call records are set at a 30 day limit but are very detailed.
Supporting push email, email, mms, and sms in threaded view and instant IM with a full range of text input options you are all set to go messaging wise.
Its got a powerful engine under the hood with a ARM 11 68O MHz processor, and 3D graphics HW accelerator, so it runs like a charm.
The highlight of this phone is its 12MP camera which can easily put a mini digital camera to shame, and with HD quality 720 pixel shooting capabilities you can easily say good buy to your digital camera and camcorder.
Some great features are its on-the-go USB capabilities and TV OUT feature are making this a perfect portable dvd player.
Packing 16 GB internal memory and support for a 32 GB card there is no storage shortages on this phone.
And this phones comes in a variety of great colors so there is plenty of eye candy to be had.
The most serious downside is its OS (operating system) which is visually behind its major rival Android especially with Androids new GingerBread OS+UI, and way behind the iphone’s IOS4.

Made by Samsung for Google this is the search engine giants flagship smart phone out there.

 Its feature include:
2G network 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900.
3G network 850/ 900/ 1700/ 1900 / 2100.
Super AMOLED screen capacitive touchscreen.
Oleophobic surface.
Contour Display with curved glass screen
480/800 pixels 4.0 inch screen.
Android Gingerbread OS and UI (operating system, user interface).
Accelerometer for UI rotation.
Three-axis gyro sensor.
Wifi.
Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support.
USB.
5MP auto focus camera.
Video recording 25 frames per second at 720 pixels.
Internet browser.
MP3 player.
MP4 video player.
DIVX/AVI video support.
Document viewer.

Keeping in turn with googles obsession for innovations, the Nexus S sports a new
Oleophobic surface and Contour Display with curved glass screen, both are firsts on a mobile phone device.
Hailing the new Android Ginger bread OS and coming with a full suit of Google apps such as Gmail, Docs, Google maps and many others this phone is a perfect mobile Google device.
The phonebook comes with unlimited entry and photocall feature so were are well stocked in that department.
Running on a ARM Cortex A8 1GHz processor there are no lags or breaks its all smooth as cream.
The phones texting features are multiple and all are well endowed with the phone handling any form of text output
Coming in only black your not exactly spoiled for choice color wise.
Oddly enough the phone lacks a radio player and memory card slot, so you are stuck with mp3 music and the in-built 16 GB memory.
All in all another great, expensive phone for you to splash on.

The LG Cookie is a visually outstanding phone for its price range of 100 dollars unlocked.
Its flash UI (user interface) and 3d graphics are very sweet eye candy and give the Cookie and edge over its competitors in this price category. and the accelerometer works very well, with both menus and the browser.
Unfortunately it takes more then fancy graphics and cool looking menus to make a good touchscreen phone, so does the cookie have what it takes to be a tasty phone? Lets find out.

 Its features include:
2G GSM 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900 network.
TFT resistive touch screen.
Flash UI (user interface)
256K colors 240/400 pixels 3.0 inch screen.
Bluetooth version 2.1 with A2DP support.
FM radio.
Internet browser.
Java support.
Document viewer (PDF, WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT).
MP3 player.
Video player.
Speaker phone.
USB port.
3.15 MP camera.
12 frames per second video recording.
Accelerometer.
Social network support.

The Cookie seems to have a minutely slower response time then other touch screens in its price tag, but it
is hardly noticeable to a casual user.
The web browser functions work well enough with no frills or jaw dropping effects, at only 48 MB internal memory you will have to buy an external memory card. The phone can support unto a 16 GB memory card.
The phonebook has a 1000 entires limit, but comes with multiple fields of entry.
The video player plays 3GP and MP4 videos at its native resolution without problems.
Messaging is fully functional with all types supported (sms, mms, email). with D-pad, QWERTY, and handwriting recognition. You are fully set up to type away.
Downsides of this phone are the lack of multiple home screens, with only two its a bit short, and there are only 7 widgets and you cant add more. And the QWERTY is missing the full stop (.) button.
Coming in many eye catching colors this phones is definitely aimed at youngsters on budget who are taking a shot at getting into touchscreen.

The Samsung Star is a phone on budget but feels like its giving you a taste of the non budget life style. Beings one of the best Samsung budget feature phones ( i.e. non-smartphone) at a 140 dollars unlocked, the Star is lighting up the way for budget phones in the hearts of the en-masses.
Its features include:
2G GSM 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900 network.
TFT resistive touchscreen.
256 K colors.
240/340 pixels. 3 inch screen.
Bluetooth version 2.1 with A2DP support.
FM radio.
MP3 player.
Video player.
Java support.
Internet browser.
Social networking support.
3.15 MP camera.
Accelerometer
15 frames per second video recording.
USB port.
Speaker phone.
The home screen is made up of 3 screens, and another 3 menu screens.
They were not joking when they said resistive touchscreen technology. The phone has a almost frustratingly unresponsive screen, it works but sometimes you need to flick again or tap once more.
The phonebook comes with a limit of 2000 contacts that has a photo call feature enabled.
Messaging wise the Star is packed to the brim with sms, mms, and email. provided with three types of text input, D-pad, QWERTY, and handwriting recognition you will have no issues firing away those texts.
Its mp3 player is fully functional if not very pretty to look at. Formats on the video player are limited to 3GP and MP4 which play at the phones native resolution.
Internal memory caps at 50 MB, so a memory card is a must as the phone can support unto 16 GB.
The Star has some build quality issues, the phone does not feel tight, some buttons may become a bit wobbly, and one drop is more then enough to kill the phone.
Coming in either white, pink or black. The Star is a mixed bag, some sweet others bitter.

A portable hard drive is a type of digital storage device. It is generally convenient to transport and has a large storage capacity. It is compatible with most computers and generally can operate easily with Windows or Mac. It can be use for storing large amount of data’s, files or it can be use as a secondary storage for your installed applications.

This time I had that already with a capacity of 500Gb enough for me, I am a freelance computer operator and addicted in downloading a lot of interesting and useful applications especially in Multimedia and Graphic softwares, beside that I can save all my downloaded movies and mp3′s on this device. I remember the time that I am using a USB Flash Drive which a capacity of 512Mb up to 2Gb that is not enough for saving a movies or higher amount of capacity of software. When I was in college I also remember the time, my classmates and I looking for a used desktop hard drive or laptop hard drive, and we bought an enclosure. We made a portable hard drive but it needs to plug in a electric socket to have a power before you can use it. As of now the portable hard drive does not required that.

Most portable hard drives are plug and play. This means that they do not need to be formatted and a person does not have to load special software onto her computer before they will work. Instead, it is generally only necessary to connect the device, and it should be ready for use. Connection is normally achieved with a cord that has a USB plug. The cord that connects a portable hard drive to a computer is usually detachable from the device.

You also need to consider the interface, which is used to transfer data to and from the device. Less expensive portable hard drives may use slower communications interfaces, making the transfer of a computer’s entire data inventory a long, tedious process. Some older computers and portable drives have only USB 1.0, while new ones come with the much faster USB 2.0, USB 3.0, Firewire or eSATA options. Buffalo Technology recently announced the MiniStation Cobalt USB 3.0 portable hard drive, which can transfer data at up to 5 gigabits per second. That’s smokin’ fast. The size of this device is almost 2.5″ x 3″ and very slim

As of now that the biggest capacity of portable hard drive I know is almost 1Tb up to 2Tb.. Wow hope I can have 1 someday.

I can’t say good bye to the USB Flash Drive, for me it is very useful too, I can store a small amount of data’s, file etc. and it is easy and very convenient to bring also the portable hard drive is the same

Do you remember the time when we all use an external storage disc also known as floppy disc to save our data in our computer? Eventually, people learned to use compact disc and dvd with the aid of CD or DVD writer to save larger files. But to date, files and data storage and management has turned far more efficient, faster to open and easy to carry and bring along with the flash drive. Flash drive is the most portable plugged-in storage device in the high tech world of files management. Flash drive is more kind of a memory card or chip that can be connected via usb port. Unlike the memory card which requires a card reader, the flash drive is a plug and play device. Storage capacity can range from 64mb up to 256gig, compatible with all known operating system. With the invention of flash drive, our PC and laptops becomes more compact and lighter. I still remember my first laptop, an IBM thinkpad with a floppy disc drive. So bulky and cumbersome. Now, most mini laptops have usb port for flash drive and the absence of optical disc drive for DVD.

Flash drive is a portable hard drive you can bring anywhere. How cool is that.
