I’ve got the same problem too. It was working perfectly till last month. Now when I connect it to the pc the JXD detects the pc, but the computer cannot recognise the mp4. I think it’s because I was careless and unplugs the device before unmounting. BUt since your Mp4 is brand new, the problem could be something else. Check if other external storage devices (like pen drives) are working. If they are not working, then you probably don’t have a USB driver. But that’s almost impossible since all operating systems comes with a defualt USB driver. Maybe the problem is with your data cable. Go check if it works with another cable. Also, these chinese MP4s are cheap quality stuff…….so don;t expect much. Now the only option left is to buy an SD card, and a card reader. Its possible to copy ur files to the card and then insert it into your JXD……
And check if it works on your friend’s computers.

My JXD 661 MP4 player (NEW-2GB) is not detected by my PC when connected. Camera and other features functioning properly. As PC is not detecting it, I am not able to load any files in the PMP. Pl. advise.
