3D is just a gimmick full stop. Even if 3D tvs become available without the need for glasses, it will still just be annoying. It’s an optical illusion which ends up simply distracting, and gives too many people headaches.

When I was a kid there was a ride at Alton Towers theme park. You walked in and they handed you 3D glasses, then you went into a hall and watched an assortment of clips of people throwing things at the screen in 3D for five minutes. The audience gasped and laughed and kept leaning back at the illusion of it all, but after it was done you wouldn’t want any more of it. It was just a fun gimmick. 3D becoming the future of cinema and games? No. 1080p HD resolution and higher? Yes.

I am using a previous generation iPod which is good but when I compare the display with new one and I found a big difference because it’s the highest resolution iPod screen ever, with four times the pixel count of previous iPod models. I’d definitely buy the new one immediately.
